Encelia farinosa, Brittlebush is a medium sized perennial shrub which grows into a roundish mound from 2 to 5 feet high. rittlebush blooms from March to June,(depending on winter rainfall) and turns the desert a gorgeous yellow.
Found throughout much of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts, it grows very well on dry slopes and along washes and roadsides where it collects extra water.
