Asclepias fasicularis , Narrowleaf Milkweed, also called Mexican-whorled Milkweed, is a perennial, and is native to California and the Western United States. It is found in numerous habitats, including deserts, chaparral and woodlands, and montane habitats below 7,000 feet.

Narrowleaf Milkweed is a critically important native food plant for both Monarch and Striated Queen butterflies. It is a hardy plant, growing from 2 to 4 feet high, and flowers are lavender, pale pink, purple, white, to greenish shades.
