Simmondsia chinensis: Jojoba is an evergreen shrub, and is found in the lower elevations of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts and grows from 7 to 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. Each plant is single sexed, and has grey-green leaves. Once established, Jojoba is cold hardy (to 18?F) heat, and drought tolerant, and does best in neutral to alkaline soils. Jojoba also tolerates reflected heat. Infrequent and deep, but regular watering of established plants results in gorgeous leaf color. Limited quantity available!
